Our History
Lance and Franklin Dirks, a father and son team, founded Dirks Dozing and Excavating, LLC in 2002. From humble beginnings, the Dirks started by providing dozing services around their hometown of Rich Hill, Missouri.
Through their productivity, integrity, and honesty, their business grew exponentially. The bedrock of those values fostered their growth into highly managed heavy construction jobs.
In 2021, the Dirks changed our company name to Dirks Heavy Contractors, LLC, as a better representation of our skilled service offerings. Our strong commitment to high standards is seen in the work Dirks Heavy Contractors performs. Quality workmanship has organically grown the Dirks’ business into one of the leading civil construction companies in Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri.

From the beginning, our founder created a culture of no nonsense and of hands-on, creative problem solving.
His innovative work ethic and decision-making skills have become the foundation of our company and allow us to look for and hire only the best, most efficient people. The people who feel like there are always ways to get better.
